Prof. Shi got his first PhD in Mechanical Engineering from China, and his second PhD in Computer Science from UK. He has been appointed as a Distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University since 2016. Before that he served as an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and Professor at Middlesex University in UK. Prof Shi’s current research is focused on image processing and artificial intelligence, with quite a number of publications in reputable journals such as IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TFS and top conferences such as CVPR, ICCV etc. In addition, Prof Shi has been principal investigators of many major projects funded by A*STAR Singapore, FP-7 EU, MOST and NSFC China.

Prof. Yingying Zhu’s research interests are mainly in artificial intelligence, computer vision, multimedia big data mining. She is currently the executive vice director of Research Institute for Future Media Computing, College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University. As a project leader, she has presided over several projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province of China, etc. She has published nearly 50 papers in computer TOP conferences, international TOP journals, SCI journals, EI conferences, etc., 5 patents and 2 software copyrights. Her laboratory has excellent software and hardware environment (e.g., 16 Tesla V100 GPUs, etc.). Meanwhile, she has in-depth scientific cooperation with HUAWEI, PING AN TECHNOLOGY, DJI and other listed companies, and has strong project R&D experience and sufficient research funds.

Xiaojun Chen received the bachelor's degree, master’s degree and doctorate from Harbin Institute of Technology. He has worked in the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) . He is now an Associate Professor in the College of Computer Science and Software, Shenzhen University. He has focused on data mining and machine learning over 10 years, and published more than 70 SCI/EI papers, including more than 30 CCF A and JCR ranked top 1 papers in  TKDE、IJCV/TIP/IJCAI/AAAI/SIGIR/ICCV/ICDE. His research interests include unsupervised/semi-supervised/weak-supervised learning and anomaly detection for multi-modal data. He served as reviewers/program chair for TPAMI/TNNLS/TKDE/TCYB/AAAI/IJCAI/WWW. He has developed many data mining systems and packages. He won the second prizes of Natural Science in both Guangdong Province and Shenzhen, due to the contribution in clustering.

He was a postdoctoral associate at Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART). He was a program committee member in IJCAI, AAAI, CVPR, RSS, and ICRA. He joined Shenzhen University as a research associate since 2018 and become an assistant professor since 2021. Jianmin Jiang received PhD from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 1994. From 1997 to 2001, he worked as a full professor of Computing at the University of Glamorgan, Wales, UK. In 2002, he joined the University of Bradford, UK, as a Chair Professor of Digital Media, and Director of Digital Media & Systems Research Institute. He worked at the University of Surrey, UK, as a full professor during 2010-2015 and a distinguished chair professor (1000-plan) at Tianjin University, China, during 2010-2013. He is currently a Distinguished Chair Professor and director of the Research Institute for Future Media Computing at the College of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, China. He was a chartered engineer, fellow of IEE(IET), fellow of RSA, member of EPSRC College in the UK, and EU FP-6/7 evaluator. His research interests is primarily focused on deep learning applications in multimedia content understanding and analysis, brain perceived pattern recognition and intelligent image/video processing. He has published around 400 refereed research papers in international leading journals and conferences.

Philippe Fournier-Viger is distinguished professor and national talent (青年千人). He published over 330 research papers and edited 4 books on data mining, machine learning, and applications. The papers have received more than 10,000 citations (H-Index >50). He is also the founder of the popular SPMF data mining library, offering more than 230 algorithms, cited in more than 1,000 papers. He is editor-in-chief of Data Science and Pattern Recognition and former associate editor-in-chief of Applied Intelligence (SCI, Q2. He published many papers in top journals/venues such as JMLR, TKDE, ICDM, ICDE, PAKDD, and TKDD, and he is keynote speakers for numerous conferences every year, in China and abroad, and received six best paper awards at international conferences.

Research directions: My team works mainly on the design of data mining algorithms and machine learning models to analyze complex data such as temporal data, graphs, and sequences. We are interested in finding insightful patterns in data and also tasks such as predictions. We also have some interest in bioinformatics. The choice of a research topic is open to discussion and you are welcome to discuss with me.

    Professor Li Jianqiang has been committed to the theoretical and technical research on robotics and intelligent systems, specifically, in the fields of collaborative perception, network collaboration, analysis and processing. He proposed the collaborative perception algorithm of multi-source heterogeneous data integration, dynamic scheduling & optimization of network segmentation method, and the model-based finite time switched hybrid system modeling and analysis framework. The methods can improve the ability of sensory processing, increase the network security transmission and computational efficiency, and reduce the modeling complexity. He was selected as the chief scientist of national key R & D projects, the national youth talent, the distinguished youth of Guangdong Province and the executive director of big data National Engineering Laboratory. He has been in charge of 1 national key R & D plan project, 1 national fund key project, 3 general youth projects. More than 200 papers have been published in recent five years, among them, there are 92 SCI indexed, 59 in the first district of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 1 science sub journal, 42 IEEE Transactions, 4652 citations by Google, 2729 citations by SCI, 9 high citations and 2 hot spots paper. 49 national patents (24 authorized) have been applied, and authorized ZTE, CGN and other companies. Moreover, after audit, the economic benefit exceeded 1.36 billion yuan. He also won the first prize of Wu Wenjun's Artificial Intelligence cientific and technological progress award, the second prize of Guangdong rovincial Scientific and technological progress award as the first accomplisher, and the first prize of Provincial Teaching Achievement Award for four times. Professor JIANBIN QIN is a national young distinguished expert and a research scientist at the Shenzhen Institute of Computing Science. He graduated with a PhD from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He worked as a researcher at the University of Edinburgh database before returning to China. He has worked in the research and development departments of Baidu and Microsoft search engines and the knowledge graph department of Google. His main research direction is database theory, database system, similarity query, information retrieval, data management, etc. He was nominated for the best paper of ACM SIGMOD 2011 and was invited to draft ACM TODS, and was selected for the best piece of IEEE ICDE 2018 and draw IEEE TKDE. In addition, he has won the CISRO Best Paper Award and the DASFAA Best Student Paper Award. He put forward fundamental theories such as the general pigeon nest principle model (GPH) and pigeon ring principle (Pigeonring) for high-performance similarity query systems. In 2021, he was recognized as a high-level overseas talent (Category B) of Shenzhen "Peacock Project".

Zhihui Lai (賴(lài)志輝) received the B.S degree in mathematics from South China Normal University, M.S degree from Jinan University, and the PhD degree in pattern recognition and intelligence system from Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NUST), China, in 2002, 2007 and 2011, respectively. He has been a research associate, postdoctoral fellow and research fellow since 2010 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also has been a Postdoctoral Fellow at Bio-Computing Research Center, Shenzhen Graduate School, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) for 2011-2013. He has published over 200 scientific articles, including more than 50 IEEE Transactions. He won the best paper award in 2008 Chinese Conference on Pattern Recognition. He was recognized as Overseas High-Caliber Personnel of Shenzhen (Peacock Plan) in 2015, and has been listed as the top 2% scientists in the world. Now, he is a professor of the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University. He is currently an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics. His research interests include medical image processing, pattern recognition, big data hash learning, deep learning, human vision modelization and their applications in the fields of intelligent robot research.

2003年在西安電子科技大學(xué)獲得信息與通信工程博士學(xué)位。 2004年到清華大學(xué)做博士后，從事網(wǎng)絡(luò)安全、人工智能、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)的相關(guān)研究工作。2006年到深圳大學(xué)從事教學(xué)和科研工作，2009年起擔(dān)任教授。2013-2014年在加拿大卡爾頓大學(xué)訪(fǎng)問(wèn)交流一年。當(dāng)前研究興趣集中在網(wǎng)絡(luò)安全、機(jī)器學(xué)習(xí)、區(qū)塊鏈等。已經(jīng)在JCR一區(qū)等期刊發(fā)表論文100多篇，先后有8篇論文為ESI高被引論文。Google Scholar統(tǒng)計(jì)引用4000余次。主持或作為主要研究人員參加過(guò)國(guó)家973項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家863項(xiàng)目、國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目、中國(guó)博士后科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目、廣東省科技計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目等多項(xiàng)國(guó)家級(jí)和省級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目以及多個(gè)橫向項(xiàng)目。獲得過(guò)吳文俊人工智能科學(xué)技術(shù)獎(jiǎng)(一等)、廣東省科技進(jìn)步獎(jiǎng)（二等），深圳市科技創(chuàng)新獎(jiǎng)、深圳市科技進(jìn)步獎(jiǎng)、深圳市優(yōu)秀博士后等多個(gè)獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)。

She received her Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Xidian University in 2003.In 2004, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Tsinghua University, engaged in the research of network security, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. She joined Shenzhen University in 2006 for teaching and research, and has been a professor since 2009.From 2013-2014 she visited Carleton University, Canada.  Her current research interests focus on cybersecurity, machine learning. She has published more than 100 papers in JCR and other journals, and 8 papers are ESI highly cited papers. In Google Scholars she has more than 4000 citations. She has participated in many national and provincial scientific research projects, such as the National 973 Project, the National 863 Project, the National Natural Science Foundation project, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation project, and the Guangdong Science and Technology Plan project. She got Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award (First Class), Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award (second class), Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Award, Shenzhen Science and Technology Progress Award, Shenzhen Excellent Postdoctoral Award and other awards.

Professor Linlin Shen received the BSc and MEng degrees from Shanghai JiaoTong University, Shanghai, China, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK. He was a Research Fellow with the University of Nottingham, working on MRI brain image processing. Prof. Shen is currently the “Pengcheng Scholar” Distinguished Professor at School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. He is also an Honorary professor at School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, UK and Visiting Professor at School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, Ningbo, and Wenzhou-Kean University, Wenzhou, China. He serves as the director of Computer Vision Institute, AI Research Center for Medical Image Analysis and Diagnosis and China-UK joint research lab for visual information processing. He also serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the IET journal of Cognitive Computation and Systems.

He is listed as the “Most Cited Chinese Researchers” by Elsevier, and listed in a ranking of the “Top 2% Scientists in the World” by Stanford University. He received the Most Cited Paper Award from the journal of Image and Vision Computing. His cell classification algorithms were the winners of the International Contest on Pattern Recognition Techniques for Indirect Immunofluorescence Images held by ICIP 2013 and ICPR 2016.

Xizhao Wang (M’03-SM’08-F’12) was a Research Fellow in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University until 2001 after receiving his doctorate degree in 1998. He served as the Dean of Computer Sciences College in Hebei University, China from 2000 to 2014. In 2014, he joined Shenzhen University, China as a professor and a director of the Big Data Institute.

Dr. Wang’s current research interests include uncertainty-aware machine learning and big data analysis. He pioneered the research on Machine Learning in uncertain environment. His research highlights can be briefly summarized as, digging the distribution of (big) data by modeling uncertainty, and then using distributed parallel technology to design and implement classification and clustering algorithms for different tasks in cybernetics. He published several monographs and textbooks, and over 280 research papers at conferences and in journals in the above topics. His works have been cited 11,675 times since 2016 according to Google scholar. He was selected as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate in 2019 and 2020, in recognition of exceptional research performance demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the cross-field top 1%.

Dr. Wang was a recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award in 2004 and the Best Associate Editor Award in 2006 from the IEEE SMCS Society. He served as a member of the Governing Boards in the IEEE SMC Society (2007-2009, 2012-2014). He is an IEEE Fellow (2012), a CAAI Fellow (2017), and the Editor-in-Chief of Springer Journal Machine Learning and Cybernetics (from 2010 to present).

Hao Liao is an associate professor with tenure at the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, and obtained a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Fribourg in Switzerland in 2015. The primary research areas include the intersection of information mining and complex systems with AI, as well as studies on information dissemination and fake news detection. The subject has led multiple projects, including three funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as collaborated on research projects commissioned by corporate partners like Microsoft Research Asia, Tencent, Baidu, and Ping An. The subject has participated in key national projects such as the National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China-Guangdong Joint Fund. He has applied for and obtained over 60 national invention patents. In recent years, the subject has published numerous papers in prominent journals including Physics Reports, EPL, Chaos, CNSNS, IP&M, and Scientific Reports, as well as presented at authoritative conferences such as KDD, SIGMOD, NeurIPS, WWW, ACL, EMNLP, and AAAI. Liang-Jie Zhang is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, as well as the Director of the Center for AI Service Computing and the Chair of the Software Engineering Department at Shenzhen University. Currently, his research and industry practices focus on generative artificial intelligence (AIGC), next-generation internet software and service architectures, interactive network audio-visual technologies, industrial internet, and digital-intelligent transformation of enterprises. She received her Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 2017. Her main research interests include remote sensing image quality enhancement and object recognition. She has led more than ten research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (General and Youth Programs), the National Defense Science and Technology Major Basic Research Program, and a sub-project of the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation 173 Program. She has published over 40 research papers, with more than 2,200 citations on Google Scholar. She has received the Second Prize of the Guangdong Provincial and Shenzhen Natural Science Awards and the First Prize of the Natural Resources Science and Technology Progress Award (Surveying and Mapping Group). She currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing (TGRS).
